Denver Mint Free Tour

June 7th, 2016 11 am

The Denver Mint is the largest producer of circulated coins in the world. During our tour we will learn how coins are manufactured as well as the history of the Mint.

Please note, virtually nothing can be carried into the Mint. This includes cameras, camera cell phones, purses, handbags, backpacks, strollers, diaper bags, food, or pointed objects such as ballpoint pens or even umbrellas. You may bring in a small billfold that can be carried in your pocket with identification, credit cards or cash. In addition, any special medical items that are necessary for the safety and well-being of you and/or your child are permitted. The tour lasts about 45 minutes.

Belleview Park, Children’s Farm and Miniature Train Free

July 14th, 2016 11 am-1pm

Come and enjoy some time at the park. Belleview Park offers plenty of shade and grass. The creek is a great way to cool off from the hot summer days - so don't forget the swim suits! Additional options available include riding the Miniature Train, which has run in Belleview Park for over 30 years, averaging 60,000 riders annually. ($1.75 per person)

You can also visit the Children’s Farm, which includes pigs, goats, chickens, and sheep. The farm also features Buttercup, a life-size, fiberglass, milking cow. Try and see if you know how to milk a cow and experience how people used to get their milk down on the farm! ($1.75 per person for ages 2+)

Bring a picnic lunch and enjoy meeting other Dennison families.

There is plenty of shade, grass and water features to enjoy throughout the park. We will have private access to the park so bring the entire family and come cool off this summer at Surfside!

These field trips are for the families of Dennison. There will be no transportation or adult supervision provided, so please work out carpooling and chaperone options with your friends. We will honor accepted registration forms with payment on a first come, first serve basis. Tickets' to your chosen trip will be delivered via kid mail.

Please contact Brandie Sciacca with any questions,
